My Tea Recipe

How I used Maroon Bush

Perhaps the greatest anecdotal “claim to fame” for Maroon Bush extract (tea) has been people who have used it to assist them in dealing with cancer. There are also those who have used it for a range of other health issues. My personal use now is as a booster for the immune system. It comes in very useful if there are colds, flu or other bugs doing the rounds.

Please note that the 100 ml 3 times a day suggested below is a heavy duty dose for the more “traditional” use for cancer and the like. For general health and immune system boosting this can be reduced and taken on a more random basis when there is a need.

Instructions for making tea extract:

* Soak 50g Maroon Bush Tea bag in 2.5 liters of water for a few hours or overnight

* Bring water with tea bag in it to a simmer or very light boil for a few minutes

* Pour off tea/extract into a container

* Store in the fridge

Traditionally people have used about 100 ml 3 times per day
